Acoustic or electric, the bass is more than a "cousin" of the guitar...it's a seperate entity altogether. It's a vital part of the rhythm section of the band, it's a time-keeper, but can provide another melody. It's solid, it's gutteral, and it's primitive. It may not get all the glory, but if it's not there...you'll definitly know it.

The longer scale-length, longer neck and larger body helps to add the necessary mass needed to provide the push the low frequencies. There are several styles of body-shapes to choose from, all have a different balance, size and weight. Alder, ash, basswood, mahogany, maple, bubinga, walnut and graphite...so many materials to choose from. We'll get you the information you need to help you choose the gear that will create YOUR sound.
